What is/are yours?

Mine is to spend less money on music. It really adds up.

Don't really do 'resolutions' ... it seems I don't have sufficient resolve to stick to them

Don't do them anymore - a lifes experience tell me they don't work...
But I'd rather spend more than less on music.

I finally did my 2005 resolution of giving up smoking. I think it has been 5-6 months now since I last smoked. Yay!

My 2012 resolution will be to lose 2 stone in fat by the end of it. Since stopping smoking, my appetite has meant yum yum yum in my tum tum tum!

Well done Keith. I gave up years ago. I also found I would eat more. Do you find that the food has a much better taste. I certainly soon found that out. How about entering a room that is full of smokers. I got to the stage where I hated it, and would try to avoid, not that it would be a temptation but because of the smell.

Same here, food tastes so much better now that my sense of taste is not ruined with smoke. Also, I never realised how much smokers actually stink. It really is rancid.

I HATE SMOKERS! Ha! :D

It is rather easy when you decide that you no longer like it as I did. Every time you think of smoking, imagine sucking on the exhaust pipe of your car and associate something disgusting with it too. <.8.>

I think it´s disgusting for a lady to be a smoker, even though I´m very girly.
I guess I´m afraid of gaining weight...
Anyway, I´m ready to try a healthy life with no cigarettes at all. So, thanks for the advice. :D

When the stock of nicotine in your body starts to decrease, your chemical cravings start, you smoke and the stock is replenished. When you stop smoking completely, it take two days for the nicotine addition to end. So, get the first two days out the way and you are half way there. The second part of the addiction is habit and this can be broken after 21 days. Tell yourself you are not missing out during these 28 days and that you are gaining more than smoking would bring you as your health and life expectancy is increasing, not to mention your bank balance! Cigarettes in the UK cost an awful lot of money!!!!
