Roger must have a real love for great guitar players, which got me thinking about some of the legends he has played with:
Syd Barret,
David Gilmour,
Eric Clapton,
Eddie Van Halen,
Jeff Beck,
Snowy White,
Andy Fairweather-Low,
Steve Lukather,
Doyle Bramhall II,
Anyone else?

Eddie Van Halen, when
?
Also, Brian Adams. Not a great guitarist, but can be added to guitarists' list...

Re: Roger and great guitar players
What was the name of his main guitarist during the Berlin Wall show in 1990? I kinda liked him, he didn't have that sleazy hard rock guitar hero attitude so characteristic of his latest guitarists, mainly Doyle and Smeagol. He seemed to be more into a miami vice vibe, kinda like Roger back then ![Whistle :-;](./images/smilies/eusa_whistle.gif)

You mean Rick Difonzo?
...gawd. Another brick in the wall of subpar guitarists playing Floyd tunes with Roger.

Yeah, but wasn't talking about his actual guitar skills but rather just his attitude and stage "persona", he looks like a calm nice dude, no rock star poseur like the recent ones. For me watching close ups of either Kilminster and Doyle totally destroy the vibe of a Waters solo show, stylistically they are just like a sore thumb standing on the stage, they are kinda like the equivalent "Guy Pratt" of the Roger Waters shows.

Yeah, I only added DB11 because he has played with Roger, personaly, I don't see what Roger sees in him, I think his playing totaly ruins Pink Floyd songs, I mean has he not listened to the originals? has he not seen Gilmour play?

I didn't like DiFonzo in the Berlin show. He was TOO still. Snowy, on the other hand, produced a spectacular solo with his signature that made me fall in love with him.
I didn't like the style of Doyle either, but Dave Kilminster was great at the top of the wall in the first show in Buenos Aires.

Read somewhere that Roger would have loved to work with Pete Townshend.
