What's the source material of Delicate Sound of Thunder video? Was it shot on film?

Yes, it would be nice if they would go back to the source film and re-edit it in high-def without the '80s video effects

i'm not sure, though i've always assumed it was recorded on tape. if it was film, surely it would have been 35mm?

Yes!! It's unwatchable because of all those godawful effects. I've got a pro-shot bootleg of another show from that tour that's a hell of a lot better 8)

I remember someone mentioning on this board that Delicate Sound of Thunder was shot on 16mm.

I think it would have been at least 35 mm because originally they were thinking about putting it in theaters. I recall someone saying it was AGFA film long ago. But since it's film they could definitely make a nice high-def remaster.

There hasn't been a Pink Floyd DVD release since 2006... Are the guys still going to release anything Floyd-related on DVD/Blu-ray?

DSOT was shot on film with Arriflex cameras on 16mm Agfa film (which is not unusual for a theatrical release).

There are no current plans for any video releases (SD or HD) including DSOT (Gilmour is not very fond of this release).

Arriflex cameras? Good. What's your source, by the way?

But why? It's hell of a performance and a very good showcase of Gilmour's skills.

Floyd always seemed embarrassed by this concert video, it's edited horribly. I'm surprised they wouldn't want to go back and remake it properly though, I liked the lights and effects WAY better than the Division Bell tour (no flying droids on Division Bell :( )

A very good edit can be made. Does the band have the original camera negatives from all cameras?
