Good evening everyone,

I'm a French songwriter and guitarist and a big fan of Pink Floyd. Thanks for having me on this board.
One day, I saw that 1989 Venice show on French TV and was like... "Wow! I love that!"...
I then became a guitarist and since then, Gilmour is still, with Knopfler and others, one of my favorite guitarists.

I'd like to share with you my cover of David Gilmour's legendary guitar solo (Live Version) - There will be more videos to come (Sorrow, On the Turning Away, Shine on.., Time) But it would be nice if you told me which cover you'd like the most. Thanks!

When I saw this post, I was immediately reminded of the YouTube video titled "Worst Band Ever Butchers Pink Floyd," and thought, oh no - why do people do things like this? This solo is not to be taken lightly, and you should not attempt this solo (and then put it on YouTube) unless you can handle it. Then I watched your video, and handle it, you did. Great job.

Sorrow also gets my vote as another to try. Other Gilmour solos to consider might be: Poles Apart, Yet Another Movie (yes, do this one!), High Hopes, Near The End (nothing wrong with solo Gilmour).

My only recommendation is that you don't cut between camera shots every five seconds. That made me nauseous.
