and Heart and Soul is one of the best box sets ever!Prkl wrote:...step inside.
Closer is one of the best albums ever, Unknown Pleasures is one of the best debut's ever, Substance is one of the best compilations ever and Les Bains Douches is one of the best live albums ever.
Oh, and Ian Curtis was probably the best (rock-)lyricist ever, RIP .

Actually New Order's debut album (Movement) is a lot more like Joy Division than eh... New Order, and is definitely an underrated album. Doubts Even Here for example would fit almost perfectly on Closer (That's Peter Hook on vocals on that track btw... )

Can I ask what the New Order comments are based on? Are these being made by people who have heard Blue Monday (a generation defining moment and an astonishing advancement in technology that Kraftwerk themselves expressed envy at and actually asked how they made the opening kick drum) and True Faith (a perfect slice of pop that crosses genres and brings together synth pop and indie for the first time ever) or are they made by people that actually have some knowledge of the band?
