Have you got all of the Pink Floyd studio albums?

Post by Keith Jordan »

Many people will have all Pink Floyd studio albums, but some people may be new to the band and building their collection. Imaging discovering some of the albums for the first time!

Anyway... do you physically have all the Pink Floyd studio albums? If not, which one do you have and perhaps you are wondering what to get next?

A Saucerful of Secrets, 1968
Soundtrack From The Film More, 1969
Ummagumma, 1969
Atom Heart Mother, 1970
Meddle, 1971
Obscured by Clouds, 1972
Dark Side of the Moon, 1973
Wish You Were Here, 1975
Animals, 1977
The Wall, 1979
The Final Cut, 1983
A Momentary Lapse of Reason, 1987
The Division Bell, 1994

I have all of them on vinyl, save Endless River.

I have all of Roger's solo work, save this bastardization of DSOTM.

I have all of Dave's solo work, save Rattle That Lock.

I have all of Syd's solo work.

I have all of Nick's solo work, save the one record only released in his boxed set.

I have Wet Dream by Rick, didn't get Zee (coz it's terrible) and Broken China has no vinyl release.

I did until fairly recently... I went through some extremely difficult financial times before my move to Australia and had little choice but to flip some of my records to make ends meet. One day I'll have them all back...

Got them all, some way too often  one of the main reasons (besides the insane pricing) I skipped the DSOTM box, I really have enough versions of that one

I bought all the studio and live albums in CD (the jewelcase Doug Sax remasters).
Then I bought the Oh By The Way boxset, which included all the studio albums in a pretty package.
Some of the albums I have in LP and cassette as well.
Never bothered to get the so-called "last studio album".

I think I've had them all as mp3s, but as far as vinyl, cd and cassette go, no; I've never owned them all.

I have UmmaGumma, DSOTM, WYWH and The Wall on vinyl, and pretty much everything from More through to Endless Drivel on CD.

Not even close. Listened to all of them, but as far as owning it I don't see a point to buy an album I don't like.

Atom Heart Mother - Final Cut. I have those and it's going to stay that way I think. Maybe the early albums will become part of the collection at some point, but definitely not Gilmour's "Floyd".

All of the studio ones except Piper, UG and The Wall.
No box sets, those are way too much expensive, and I mostly either download or stream music in general.

Yeh got a physical copy of everything plus solos except Endless River which is on permanent loan from a buccaneer site. Everything was bought on original release except Dark Side which I got in 1974 and all of the pre Dark side albums were collected between 1974 and 1976. Also have multiple copies of most as I rebought copies to replace worn out originals and cd versions etc

Yeah but that's an old song and it's live. I rarely bother with live stuff. Not because it is bad, but the studio version is usually better. Especially with Pink Floyd who depend on complicated soundscapes. Both him and Roger are fairly good at reproducing it live though, I must say.

I have all but Endless River. In fact I gave very detailed opinions on all the others in this video.
