My favourite brazilian band is Sepultura... They managed to refresh first death metal, then thrash metal, and they were great live

Indeed Sepultura were great live, not sure about now tho. I caught their Beneath The Remains tour and was blown away by it but I saw them again a few years ago and it just wasnt the same without Max. I wouldnt say they refreshed Death Metal, Paradise Lost should maybe get that distinction, Sepultura offered a softer more accessable version of it, still pretty darn good tho, but the post-Max stuff doesnt do much for me.

Totally agreed, that's why I used the past tense... I don't like the post-Max Sepultura, so haven't seen them live after the break. But before...

And Paradise Lost was - and still is - great
