Altho Im pleased with my selection youve just made me think that perhaps I may have rushed it a bit. Cloudbusting borders on heartbreaking when Donald Sutherland is taken off in the car and then the whole thing is wrapped up in triumph when Kate finally sets the machine in motion, just stunning! I toyed with the idea of adding a PSB vid and Heart did cross my mind. In the 80s I practically worshipped the Pet Shop Boys but if I had to choose one it would probably be the re-release of Opportunities as its such a time piece of the 80s both musically and visually, gotta love those vamps tho And how could I overlook Atmosphere, especially as I included New Order and of course being a huge Depeche Mode fan I somehow managed to overlook one of Anton Corbijn's finest moments. I applaud your choices Prkl!!!Prkl wrote:1. Kate Bush - Cloudbusting

Hard one. I can't think of many.
Bowie: Ashes to Ashes
Kate Bush: Cloudbusting / Babooska
Duran Duran: Girls on Films (wasn't this the one where the girls were wrestling in mud )
Rolling Stones: Waiting for a Friend (can't remember the exact name, just Jagger & Richards sitting in front of a house)
???h, can't remember any more. I'd rather listen to a song than watch it

Luigi Russolo and the Grateful Dead
[quote="Anna-Roza"]Luigi Russolo published "The Art of Noise" manifesto, so should be someone close to your heart
Also carried some crazy experiments with producing sounds.
The photo you'd find familiar:

I never cared too much for videos and believe me, it took me a lot of time to remember 10 videos, but here are mine:
1.- Robbery Assault & Battery by Genesis: Probably many of you never saw this video because prog' music was not popular in the late 70's and it was not shown often on TV, Collins is the thieve, Banks and Hackett the policemen and Rutherford the dead man. Hilarious.
2.- Loosing my Religion by REM: Very imaginative and really beautifull video. IMO it's inspired in a short story by Garc?a Marquez ("An Old Man with Great Wings")
3.- Another Brick in the Wall by PF: Not really a video but very aggressive.
4.- Shock the Monkey by Peter Gabriel: Not a good song but a very creative video.
5.- Too Old to Rock & Roll but too Young to Die by Jethro Tull: Hilarious video, Ian Anderson created the concept.
6.- Promisses by Cranberries: Fantastic video, captures part of the Irish legends.
7.- Zombie by Cranberries: I'm not a fan of this group, but their videos are great, this one is very good even though IMHO has some influence from Loosing my Religion video.
8.- I don't like Mondays by Bob Geldof and the Boomtown Rats: Also an oldie, but good and shocking.
9.- I Wan't to Break Free by Queen: Not the best music of Queen, but I find it very funny.
10.- The Trooper by Iron Maiden: I like the scenes from old movie pictures, go perfectly with the song.

Agreed, great video, with amazing scary atmosphere... But I've seen it for the first time just lately, on the Web, so I voted for "Sledgehammer" - very overplayed, but definitely one of my childhood's videosIvan_2068 wrote: 4.- Shock the Monkey by Peter Gabriel: Not a good song but a very creative video.
