It's the same as a bootleg. An unofficial live recording (or maybe a soundboard recording that has reached fan circles). Dunno what it stands for, though.

Yeah, I've never understood that either. I guess it's down to some kind of weird and missplaced snobbery. I call them bootlegs.

Agreed. It's an attempt to make something illegal sound fancy. Like IDSIMF - Illegally Downloaded Song In MP3 Format
