I dont understand why people are only saying they were innovative in the 80's which is when they were recording straight rock tracks (admittedly very good ones) and then when they start experimenting and really pushing ideas people dont like them, doesnt make sense to me.

I mentioned ACHTUNG BABY as a good album...it's just not as great as The Joshua Tree, in my humble yet outspoken opinion.

It's like this...the only song on The Joshua Tree that even comes close to making me cringe is Exit...and I'm liking it more and more the more that I listen to it.

Achtung Baby...well...I like Even Better Than The Real Thing, The Fly, Mysterious Ways, Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses and (particularly) Until The End Of The World...but it's not an album that I track all the way through. I listen to the songs I like, then I take it off.

The Joshua Tree, to me, just HAS to be played from beginning to end...it's a bit like TDSOTM in that regard.

I think they are ok,nothing special to my ears,but they made a few good songs,but the intro to "Even better than the real thing"is way to long.

I don't like them, it's too boring I think, Only song i really like from them is Sunday, Bloody Sunday, but only the live version

In my opinion, they are one of the greatest pop bands, and I enjoy their music for the most part. I don't listen to them much anymore though, mostly just their more popular stuff that comes on the radio.
