Roger on Ringo Star tribute to George Harrison.

Post by rollinder »

" Ringo Starr has recorded a tribute song to the late ex-Beatle for his next new album.

The song is co-written by Eric Clapton and features Roger Waters of Pink Floyd. There's no title yet, but the song will be part of the album due out in March of next year."

I'll definitely be picking that up.

BTW, I think it would be pretty neat if Eric Clapton and Ringo Starr performed on Roger's next solo album. That would be quite the all-star line-up.

Yeah, they could have Dave Gilmour on guitar with Clapton, and maybe Rick Wright on keyboards LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Yeah...but could they call it Pink Floyd?

BTW...interesting signature.

Great way of sliding curse words past the editing program.

Clapton, Ringo & Waters is a great collaboration. Supposidely Clapton & Ringo co-wrote the song, what is Waters contribution?
I would prefer to have him be the songwriter, and let Eric and Ringo perform.

Roger probably sung the song by himself or with Eric and/or Ringo.

The lates details from Billboard is that Roger ISN'T listed as appearing on Ringo's new album but David is.

Roger Waters Online claimed that Roger was on vocals on the song for George: "Never Without You" - but are now saying this:

"Ringo's new studio album, Ringo Rama, will have a track called 'I Think Therefore I Rock & Roll which features David Gilmour, Pink Floyd guitarist. This seems to throw some doubt over earlier reports that Roger Waters features on the same album, on a track 'Never Without You. If both are on same album, it would be first time since 'The Final Cut a studio album has featured the pair. Gilmour seems to be confirmed while we await confirmation on Roger Waters inclusion. It is certain the track (with or with out Roger Waters) 'Never Without You, will be released in March."
