Ok, here's one (might be hard to find, I'll try to upload it somewhere)

The Triffids - Lonely Stretch

Ok, who? Well The Triffids were an amazing folk rock band in the 80's, who made a bunch of great albums, but split in '90 frustrated by the lack of commercial success. This song is one of the highlights from their most acclaimed album Born Sandy Devotional, released in 1986. Spooky atmosphere and brilliant lyrics, check it out! Nick Cave fans might like it at least!

Nice choice Prkl. This track reminds me a bit of some of the stuff by Goth band Fields of the Nephilim but I think thats just because its dark and menacing.Reading my Rough Guide to Rock I see that they were an Aussie band and their vocalist was a big Velvets fan.Any band that hires a guitarist called "Evil" Graham Lee deserved to have greater success.

Heh, I'm not a huge fan of Fields of the Nephilim, but that's a sort of an apt comparison:

Fields of The Nephilim = goth band with country music influences
The Triffids = an indie folk/alt.country band with gothic influences

Seeing as 2 days are up,it's time for another track,now i may be breaking the rules with my choice,so if i am,ignore me

My choice is Amarok,by Mike Oldfield,it is also the name of the Album from which it comes from,there is only one track on the album,and it's all instrumental,but,it is totaly unique,and for the newcomer might need a couple of listens to get it,but it does have some wonderful playing on it,and is very well produced,everything is played by Mike,and i love it because it has so much going on in it,it is almost classical in form and in some ways is beyond explanation,you have to just listen to it.
And it is 60 minutes long,lol,so,if that is breaking the rules then,fair enough,but seeing as this is a Pink Floyd forum,it should be ok with you guys.
