Best Album

Very hard to decide. I would have to say Piper. I used to look at these albums in terms of both the music and tripping to it. Piper is excellent (of course, as it is syd.

AS for post-syd, I like Atom Heart Mother (especially the title piece) although a couple of other songs are great. I also love Meddle for Echoes and of course DSOTM, Animals, WYWH and the wall.

It is really hard t decide as there are hardly any bad floyd songs (there are a few but i will not mention them as they are not so much bad as they are depressing in that they are not classic floyd. Just throwaways (just as the band sez about AHM which i like--just goes to show you how much their opinion is worth!

I think Pink Floyd's best album is Darkside of the Moon. My favourite song is Echoes though and I love all the early material and Syd's solo works.

Best album? The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn or Dark Side Of The Moon. Without a doubt.

Worst/least successful (artistically) album? Ummagumma or Momentary Lapse. (Even though I really like the latter. Er, and the former.)

With Dark Side of the Moon Pink Floyd set a standard only they could eclipse which they did with Wish You Were Here (my favorite), I have to agree with Keith that Echoes is the best song by far.

Without a Doubt : Wish You Were Here.
In fact the Trilogy of DSOTM,WYWH,and Animals were great!.I prefer
those albums to "The Wall".

Its all relative and depends on ones own interpretation and taste,so heres
mine.! My Favouite albums are DSOTM,More,WYWH,the wall and Piper + obscured by clouds,looks like im going to name them all doesnt it

My favourite song(or musical oddssey) is Echoes.

Animals is the best album ive ever heard! from the great acoustic love songs pigs on the wing parts 1 and 2 , the thrashing guitar of dogs, the powerful vocals of pigs(3 different ones) and the brilliant keyboards of Sheep, this is clearly the most amazing album ive ever heard!

Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here, both are the best floyd albums in my opinion, althought I prefer DSOTM.

Well, The Dark Side Of The Moon is my personal favourite, followed by Wish, Wall, Piper, Meddle, Animals, Atom and the rest! I also think it's the best album they did.
