Ok, so what does everyone here think is the best vocal performance on any pink floyd live or studio album, that is as long as it's official.
My opinion: ITAOT- Roger on Mother or Roger on The Trial. Truely great performances.
Best Pink Floyd vocal performance

The end of Hey You when Roger sings lead.
Daves vocals are technically good on that song. His trademark warm and almost velvet tone is in place but it's sounds like what it is: he's singing someone else's song. When roger starts to sing you hear the emotion and pain. He really mean's it. All of roger's vocals on the Wall are worthy of praise - Dave sings like he's a robot. Roger sings straight from the heart.

Ok, i've got a little more free time here so i reckon i'm going to be a bit more detailed.
The best performance by Syd Barret was on Jugband Blues or Dark Globe if his solo career is included. These songs really let the listener here a tragic hero trapped in his own prison and trying to escape. He sounds emotionaly and mentally tortured on both songs with the excellent jugband blues predicting his departure from reality ("and i'm wondering who could be writing this song...")
The best from Rick was Summer 68. I feel he's an underrated singer and this song showed a fine vocal performance that marks the fine half way between waters and gilmour.
Dave's best performance was on the song Lost For Words. Brilliant. Let nobody say Dave has no soul.
And aside from the previosuly mentioned songs Roger is on 2 suns in the desert, the best delivery being "you stretch the frozen moments with your fears."
Hmm, now what about Nicks?
