I saw 3 interesting and good movies over the break that i would like all of your opinion on if you've seen them, thanks

1. The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys
2. The Virgin Suicides
3. The Royal Tenebaums

The Virgin Suicides shows what happens when you hold your kids down to tight.They have to break free somehow & if you don't let them that could be thier only way they feel.

Out of those three, I have only seen The Royal Tenenbaums. I found it was in serious need of a re-write. Some of the jokes were pretty funny, but most of them were just absurd. Most of the time I felt the writers just tried to be outlandish for the sake of being outlandish.

A great cast (Hackman, Paltrow, Owen, and Stiller? You gotta be kidding me), but a poorly written script. There is no such thing as a good film with a crappy script IMO.

The Virgin Suicides is good but I recommend you read the book first, the film makes more sense after that. Its also better.
