It will be mine. Oh, yes--it will be mine!

...That is, as soon as I get financially stable. :?

Are there any other studio footage such as DSOTM? I specially liked the part in the cantine and the crustless pie theory by dr. Nick Mason and his assistant Rick Wright. It would be very interesting to see if they were acting goofy recording TPATGOD or perhaps Syd's visit on WYWH sessions in 1975.

Closed captioned?

Post by pffan1990 »

I'm hard-of-hearing myself and like DVDs with closed captions. "The Wall" and "In The Flesh - Live" DVDs both have lyric captions as the words are sung. "David Gilmour" DVD has no captions at all. Does anyone know if the new "Pompeii" DVD will be fully lyric/dialog captioned? I noticed one of the extras was 'Lyrics'. Is this the captioned feature or simply lyric sheets as used on "David Gilmour" DVD? Thanks.

I hope they do, actually, but not for the lyrics (we can find those in CDs). I really want to know what is said during those interview scenes like when Roger says something about "giving a man a synthesizer....mumble...they become us" or whatever, and what the interviewer asks David in the last bit about problems they had a few years ago to which David responds "yeah."

I'll definately buy it, my mid 80's copy is worn out and my VCR broke down last week (rarely use it anyway)

Does anyone know what's up with the butterflies?

Nick wears two or three different shirts during the concert and each one has a butterfly smack in the middle of his chest.

Is Nick an entymologist when he isn't a drummer and car racing playboy?

QUESTION: Would it be better with or without the crowd?
It's without and they might have overdubbed some parts or started over so it isn't a very concert atmosphere and they might as well called it Sessions at Pompeii.

Nah, it gave it all a jamming/ laid back atmospher INO. It was also unusual to have a live video with no audience so it gave it an edge.

I love it just the way it is (without crowd noise). I really love the fact that there is no ambient audience sound during alot of the quieter parts. It's just a great video now to be DVD!
