Sounds very nice indeed. I'm no opera-fan, but I could be convinced to buy this.

OK so is the 1st track the same as what was called "Sugar Indigo" in the Malta Ascension?
it sure sounds familiar

maybe its a reprise, now that he's doing an opera roger can include all the reprises he wants

The first track reminded me quite a lot of the Missa Luba, which is the Catholic mass set to traditional Congolese folk tunes. An extract (the Sanctus) was released on 7" single in the mid-sixties. Malcolm McDowell plays it on the jukebox each time he enters the cafe in "If..."

Holy shit, how calm is this forum on the evening before the release of ca ira!!!!!!?????
I listened to it and it's a thrill. Roger at his best. Powerful, confronting and melody.

I think I'll be buying this. Now.

People in my family will be all like 'Wtf are you listening to?' and I'll go to school with my headphones playing it really loud. People will think I'm a nut. I cant believe our Roger wrote an opera like this.

I am really amazed with the 'songs' I have heard. It sounds like honey and whisky, all together. The best I've ever heard on this earth. Almost Mozart's Requiem .This cannot be one man's work. This must be God!

I wouldnt go quite that far
I'm having a tuff time penetrating this operatic medium thang,
specially after the kids stop saying "I'm gonna be a king!",
the singers seem to get kind of sleepy in places
but you betchya I'm gonna be picking it up the day it comes out
is that really tomorrow? Saturday?

that means I can smoke a bowl tomorrow afternoon
and listen to the new Floyd album!
and again on sunday twice through!

I'm listening to the Amazon.com stream as I ordered the Deluxe edition earlier today. Very interesting album so far. Looking forward to getting the real deal so I can watch the DVD, read the book, and get inside the meanings of the album as a whole.

Great work Roger. Major thumbs up to the heavens! :D

(Oh and for the record the Amazon.com ended after 49 minutes and the story wasn't finished so I'm assuming they only got the first disc up for streaming... still, I won't complain as this will tide me over until I get the real deal)

This summer I was in England for holidays. I love it, but my wife says it's because of Pink Floyd and Roger.

Hurrah, it's arrived. Listening to it now. I'm up to the third track but still not sure of what to make of it :?

Gonna have to listen to it properly when I'm in a better frame of mind
