While both are intoxicatingly sensual and entrancing pieces, I prefer "Echoes" simply because I tend to lose myself in it more. And I'm not sure exactly what specific elements I prefer. The main reason I love Pink Floyd so much is because I love the "other realms" they take me to...and "Echoes" is just all over the place. (And no, I don't use drugs...LOL.)
I used to put on "Echoes" for my son when he was a baby and was having trouble falling asleep. Worked every time. Soooo peaceful.

It all depends about the moments you spend listening to a certain song. I had beatuful times listening to The Division Bell, PULSE, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn and Meddle. That's why I prefer Echoes. Although, my favourite "Echoes" is from Live at Pompeii and THE best thing I've heard is chord made of Rick's and Dave's vocal. THE GREATEST PINK FLOYD SONG EVER!!!! They should have made "Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd" just of rare performances of Echoes on 2 cds. Btw, when was the last performance of Echoes?
