Here are some photos that Wendy Bannister kindly sent me upon me requesting she take some if she was in the area!! They are of Syd Barrett's former house at number 6 St Margaret's Square in Cambridge, England.
I thought it would be of interest to display them on NPF for those curious to see where he lived his normal life.

I have often wondered where he lived and what his street looked like!! I think these photos will help convey his suster Rosemary's thoughts that Roger Barrett wasnt some mental recluse living in a house with boarded up windows etc!! Just a normal house, in a normal road, in a normal university town!

Or maybe it was one of those instance where RKB woke up one day and said "You know what? This would be awesome of it was blue."
That's kind of why I envy him. Not many people have the kind of dedication and energy to muse about what stuff looks like and then get up and change it. I wish I could do that.

Nice to see he kept the lawn tidy, apparently he gardened quite a bit.
Having spent half the afternoon sawing down most of a big tree that must be a triffid in disguise, I think form the amount of swearing I did my neighbours already think I'm madder than Syd. Plus my garden is 100 times more neglected, and I haven't had the courage to paint my door.
RKB was still saner than most of us!
