Gilmour did a fucking brilliant geetar performance.
Like he never left that KQED studio.
Bit of blues, bit of echo-e psychodelic parts... great.
Every credit to THE MAN. No one could have played it like him.

There is a nice little home movie documenting a visit to London to see the AHM show by a group of Italian Floyd fans, "un gruppo Floydiano", on YouTube. It features a few minutes of concert footage, including the opening and the encore:

Except perhaps Federico Maremmi!Damn!t wrote:Every credit to THE MAN. No one could have played it like him.
Gilmour was amazing - but lets give the guys from Mun their due too. Don't forget Federico Maremmi played all the guitar parts on the previous night - and some of what you can hear on the recording from Sunday is Maremmi too.
There is a clip on YouTube that shows quite clearly who is playing what during the final encore reprise:

Having said all that, you're not wrong Damn!t - Gilmour is THE MAN!

Yeah. Maybe, hoping against hope, that his stint on the road playing old Pink Floyd stuff and his revisiting of Atom Heart Mother might spur him on. Now that he's got the happy personal album out of the way, he might write something less snoozy. Then again, I'm probably talking nonsense as usual
