The latter, says Gilmour involves an asterisk system in which all contenders are written down. Three asterisks denotes certain inclusion, while two is ‘likely’ and one indicates an outside possibility. David Gilmour’s Luck and Strange album is now officially announced which greatly increases the probability of a tour happening. For those who are more eagle-eyed you might have spotted some potentially encouraging words on David Gilmour’s website. The UK David Gilmour store says “Pre-order* any format of ‘Luck and Strange’ to get early access to future UK live dates.“ There is also a link for “no purchase necessary” which you can access for tickets when they become available. For example, you might have pre-ordered from another website so would still want ticket access. I have just registered and confirmed my email address. I can’t wait to get hold of some David Gilmour tour tickets for 2024!
The Piper’s Call Official Music Video will premier on 26 April at 17:15 on YouTube by David Gilmour. You will be able to watch it here. The video is for the first single from the new album Luck and Strange. The title of the album came from the title of a “barn sessions” recording during the making of The Division Bell. David Gilmour today announced his new album Luck and Strange, to be released on 6th September on Sony Music. The first track from the album, ‘The Piper’s Call’, will be released this Thursday, 25th April, following a world exclusive first play on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show.
