The auction will take place on 29th and 30th November 2006 in Cambridge, England. Amongst the items set to go under the hammer are pieces of artwork from the Pink Floyd founder, some signed, which have never been seen before. Also up for sale are his bikes, which were hand painted by the former star, who lived out much of the last 30 years of his life as a recluse....

Above: Structural damage to the stage caused concerts to be re-scheduled (Photos: Stefano Tarquini) Structural faults were blamed for the cancellation as the photo to the right shows! The scaffolding was erected by a reputable local company but, when the left supporting beam that holds the top part of the stage up gave way, there was no possibility of the concert going on! Rosemary Breen has been inundated with cards and letters of support from fans all over the world. Many fans are also making pilgrimages to Syd’s former home in St Margaret’s Square, Coleridge, Cambridge, to leave flowers and even banners outside. Commenting on the masses of “celebrity” people who have paid tribute to her brother, Rosemary said, “He would think it was all very funny!”. “He simply couldn’t understand hero worship.
