I was a successful young photographer and a member of the swinging sixties in-crowd, working in the fashion, advertising and music industries from my photo studio at 7, Burdon Place W.1. in the heart of London’s Mayfair. Having a wide circle of friends in the music business I first met The Pink Floyd in 1967 at an event in Piccadilly. They were a new unknown band and seemed pretty far out. We chatted for a while and then left. A short while later I got a call from their manager inquiring if I could do a photo shoot for their first album cover.
