Roger Waters Dark Side of the Moon Redux Lyrics

Listen to More Songs from Roger Waters Dark Side of the Moon Redux

The new recording of Dark Side of the Moon by Roger Waters, the Redux version where he has reimagined the album and recorded it rather different to the original, now has two more tracks released and available to listen to on streaming platforms and YouTube below. In addition to Time and Money, you can now listen to the first two tracks from the album Speak to Me and Breathe. However, these have been interwoven with words that were not there before and quite surprising ones! Just listening to Speak to Me, Roger has actually read out the lyrics to Free Four from the Obscured by Clouds album, Pink Floyd’s 7th studio album and the one released immediately before Dark Side of the Moon. Obscured by Clouds was released in June 1972 with Dark Side of the Moon in March 1973. It is as if we have rewound the tape in...

Roger Waters Time Redux Version on Streaming Platforms Now

You can now listen to Roger Waters’ Redux version of Time from his forthcoming The Dark Side of the Moon Redux on streaming platforms like Spotify, YouTube below and others. It joins Money which was released recently. Having listened to both tracks I actually quite like the re-interpretation of the classic recordings. Personally, I think the Pink Floyd versions are much better to “listen to”, but these two new tracks I have heard so far give much more space to the lyrics rather than the music. Very sparse indeed. Pre-order from Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com Roger will be performing the reimagined album at the London Palladium for two nights only in London on 8/9 October 2023. Tickets for those shows were very limited indeed and sold very quickly. Who knows if he will perform the shows in other locations, he does have the rest of his current tour to finish so is quite busy....

Review: Have You Got It Yet? The Story of Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd.

Rating: ★★★★☆ “Have You Got It Yet?” is a mesmerising and thought-provoking documentary that unravels the enigmatic life of Syd Barrett, the founding member of Pink Floyd, and his significant role in the psychedelic rock movement of the 1960s. Directed by Roddy Bogawa and co-directed by the late Storm Thorgerson, the film seamlessly weaves together interviews, rare archival footage, and captivating dramatisations to paint a vivid and multifaceted portrait of Barrett. The documentary begins with an intimate audio interview with Barrett himself, setting the stage for an exploration of his upbringing in Cambridge, where his artistic talents began to emerge. It delves into his early days with Pink Floyd and the band’s rise to prominence, highlighted by their seminal album “Piper at the Gates of Dawn.” Barrett’s unique and whimsical songwriting, coupled with the band’s mesmerising live performances, epitomised the essence of the psychedelic era. Pink Floyd drummer, Nick Mason, has been awarded the title of honorary citizen of Pompeii in Italy. He received the title today, joined by his wife Annette, at the small ceremony at the City Hall – known locally as the Commune di Pompeii. Pompeii is famous for lots of reasons including the great volcano eruption that preserved a Roman city and was only relatively recently rediscovered.
