The exhibition will extended the theme also to the 1974 and 1975 tour, due to their importance and their connection with “Animals”, to remember masterpieces like the first versions of “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”, “Raving and Drooling” and “You Gotta Be Crazy “, all appeared in concert in 1974-75. David Gilmour Joining Roger Waters on Wall Tour but which Show?

In less than two weeks, Roger Waters is set to continue touring The Wall album. The album, which Roger mainly wrote, was recorded and released by Pink Floyd all the way back in 1979 and features one of the most recognisable and celebrated guitar solos of all time in Comfortably Numb! David Gilmour, the legendary Pink Floyd guitarist of course, is responsible for said guitar solo and it would only be right that he wield his axe one last time with Roger Waters on stage and belt out the cracking melody! There are 60 dates left of the tour (so far announced that is) and David Gilmour will play at one very special concert before the tour is over! But which concert will David Gilmour play at on the tour? British radio station BBC 6 Music are to broadcast Pink Floyd “Meddle” era concert recordings from the vast BBC archives on Wednesday 9th March 2011 at 9pm GMT. Also featured on the 180 minute radio programme Gideon Coe will be rugged violinist Seth Lakeman. Session highlights include The Beat, Geno Washington, the Madchester tinged King of the Slums and an early session from Courtney Love’s Hole.
