Breathe Reprise Lyrics – Pink Floyd – Dark Side of the Moon

Home / Pink Floyd Lyrics / Dark Side of the Moon Lyrics / Lyrics to Breathe Reprise Breathe (reprise)7:06 Home, home again.I like to be here when I can. When I come home cold and tiredIt’s good to warm my bones beside the fire.Far away across the fieldThe tolling of the iron bellCalls the faithful to their kneesTo hear the softly spoken magic spells. About The Song “Breathe (Reprise)” is not officially listed as a separate track on Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon” but is recognized by listeners as the reiteration of the album’s opening song, “Breathe,” and occurs towards the end of the suite “Time.” This reprise serves to remind listeners of the album’s recurring themes of the pressures of life and the passage of time. “Breathe (Reprise)” subtly reemerges on Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon,” weaving back the album’s initial themes into the narrative during the...

Lyrics to Time by Pink Floyd – Dark Side of the Moon

Home / Pink Floyd Lyrics / Dark Side of the Moon Lyrics / Lyrics to Time Time Lyrics Mason, Waters, Wright, Gilmour) 7:06The Dark Side of The Moon Ticking away the moments that make up a dull dayYou fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home townWaiting for someone or something to show you the way. Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain. You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today. And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun. So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it’s sinkingRacing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way but you’re older,Shorter of breath and one day closer to...

Home / Pink Floyd Lyrics / Dark Side of the Moon Lyrics / On The Run Lyrics On The Run(Gilmour, Waters) 3:32 [female announcer, announcing flights at airport, including ‘Rome’]“Live for today, gone tomorrow, that’s me, HaHaHaaaaaa!” (Instrumental) About The Song “On the Run” from Pink Floyd’s seminal album “The Dark Side of the Moon” is a sonic depiction of the stress and madness of relentless travel and the impersonal hustle of the modern world. The track is entirely instrumental, driven by a sequencer pattern on a synthesizer that was groundbreaking at the time of the album’s release. With its racing electronic rhythms and an overlay of synthesized effects, “On the Run” creates an atmosphere filled with tension and disquiet. The sound of footsteps running, distorted voices, and an impending sense of doom climax with an explosive sound effect, reinforcing the themes of chaos and the unexpected accidents life can bring. The track’s...

Long you live and high you flyAnd smiles you’ll give and tears you’ll cryAnd all you touch and all you seeIs all your life will ever be. Run, rabbit run.Dig that hole, forget the sun,And when at last the work is doneDon’t sit down it’s time to dig another one. For long you live and high you flyBut only if you ride the tideAnd balanced on the biggest waveYou race towards an early grave.
