To celebrate the 13th December release of Pink Floyd The Later Years, David Gilmour has given his only interview to BBC Radio’s Matt Everitt, published as a podcast, ‘The Lost Art of Conversation’. The 4-part series will be available in weekly parts, starting today (26 Nov). In the series, David discusses Pink Floyd as they reassembled after Roger Waters’ departure, as well as legal battles, the 80s, 90s politics and The Big Spliff. Covering the material and stories featured in The Later Years box set, the episodes are split into four key themes from the band’s career from 1987 to the present day, including The Studio, Artwork, Live Performances, and Unreleased New Material. The Pretty Things has released their Final Bow recording from last year in a deluxe 5 disc box set and features Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour along with lots of other guests on stage. It seems like perfect timing for the release just in time for Christmas and is competing with Pink Floyd’s own epix box set for The Later Years. The band played what they called their “final bow” – their last-ever concert – at London’s O2 last year, and the show featured some high-profile guests. David Gilmour came out for five songs during the band’s second set, playing on a handful of songs from their S.F. David Gilmour To Join Mick Fleetwood and Friends in 2020 Concert

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday 15th November 2019) for an epic celebration of the music of Fleetwood Mac’s co-founder Peter Green, and to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust. Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour will be joining the one off concert in 2020 in London and looks like it will be a spectacular show and one not to miss! David played to support Teenage Cancer Trust back in 2016 at the Royal Albert Hall. The concert will take place on February 25 at the London Palladium and will see Fleetwood joined onstage by a raft of musicians including Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour, ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Johnny Lang, Andy Fairweather Low, John Mayall, Zak Starkey, Bill Wyman and his Fleetwood Mac bandmate Christine McVie.
