There are 5 great programs to watch on Sky Arts this coming Saturday 27th April in what looks like a real treat for Pink Floyd fans. There is a Pink Floyd takeover as they are broadcasting lots of content starting at 6.30pm. This Sky Arts Pink Floyd Night is going to be a great evening. As part of the package, Sky Arts will broadcast the autobiographical film Have You Got It Yet? The Story of Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd. Hopefully we are a step closer to streaming and physical release. The popular BBC TV programme Mastermind, where contestants are quizzed on general knowledge and their choice of specialist tropics, featured a lady whose specialist topic was Pink Floyd’s co-founder Syd Barrett! If you are in the UK, or use basic spoofing technology called a VPN and get past the worst paywall in the world asking if you are a licence fee payer yes or no, then you can watch it online for free. It is available for 11 months from now. It was broadcast on Monday 9th October 2023 via terrestrial radio signals. Those who are more modern can watch it on catch up using the BBC iPlayer. Bassist Guy Pratt in Road Trip Comedy ‘The Monk, The Mermaid & Molise’

Pink Floyd bassist Guy Pratt is set to star in a new road trip comedy called The Monk, The Mermaid & Molise which is in pre-production at Film Soho. His co-stars include Ronni Ancona, and Smack The Pony star Sally Phillips. Guy said, “Cannot believe I may be getting to work with these amazing people”. Guy will be playing a fictionalised version of himself, alongside Raffaello Degruttola, Sally Phillips and Ronni Ancona. The film follows Guy, down on his luck, as he accepts an invitation to spend five days playing a series of bass clinics in a remote Italian region, Molise, run by a super fan, and must face up to decisions from his past. Pratt will write the music, with contributions from his previous musical collaborators. It is set to be released in 2024.
