However, the situation with Covid means that things are not quite getting back to normal yet. I am going to be honest here, I am reading through the UK Albums and Singles charts and I have never heard of most of it. Is that a good thing for a fan of the old music? I had a listen to a few of the albums in the top 10, all sounds the same with a lot of autotune. I guess something similar could be said of the charts since they were invented! Why does it all have to be so terribly loud…. Anyway, there was one band I did at least recognise and that is Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets band! Proper music! Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets Released

Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason set up his Saucerful of Secrets band back in 2018 with guitarist Lee Harris. He soon assembled a full band including Pink Floyd session bassist Guy Pratt, Gary Kemp from Spandau Ballet as the singer/guitarist and keyboardist Dom Beken. They played a gig at London’s Roundhouse theatre down in Camden and had camera’s galore to film it. It is now finally released on multiple formats for fans to revisit earlier Pink Floyd material which doesn’t often get a look in from Gilmour and Waters. Some great songs there in the set list. Roger Waters and Nick Mason Tours Affected by Coronavirus – Delayed

Roger Waters has postponed his 2020 North American Tour to next year in 2021 due to the Coronavirus outbreak. On Facebook Roger said, “THE BAD NEWS: I’ve had to postpone my THIS IS NOT A DRILL tour until next year. Bummer, but if it saves one life, it’s worth it.” Ticket holders are advised to hold onto their original tickets and await further information. Please visit rogerwaters.com for more information. Nick Mason is an English musician and songwriter who is best known as the drummer and percussionist for the legendary progressive rock band Pink Floyd. Born on January 27th, 1944 in Birmingham, England, Mason grew up in London and showed an early interest in music. Mason studied architecture at the London Polytechnic, but his true passion was always music. He met Roger Waters and Richard Wright while studying, and the three of them formed Pink Floyd in 1965. Mason was initially the band’s drummer, but he also contributed to the band’s early recordings as a session musician and played a variety of percussion instruments. Throughout his long career with Pink Floyd, Mason has been a key member of the band and has played on all of their albums. Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason has a couple of exciting releases early this year regarding his Saucerful of Secrets touring band which has been going around playing the early days of Pink Floyd music. They are still on tour and have lots of dates this year too. First up, there will be a cinema screening of Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets Live at The Roundhouse. The one night only event takes place at cinemas around the world on Tuesday 10th March 2020, and you can find participating cinemas around the world on the Nick Mason on Film website. It is presented by Trafalgar Releasing who also did Roger Water’s Us and Them cinema screening. Second, fans will be able to get their hands on the audio and video from the Roundhouse recording.
