Roger’s tours are always a great success and push the boundaries of what a concert can look and feels like. He is also highly political which is not to many people’s taste who are more interested in “the music” rather than “the politics”. Roger Waters’ shows are important. Not only are the shows spectacular from a production point of view (with the fans immersed in the performance all around them, with award winning projections and stage production), fans also get to hear Roger’s political views. Great news. The mighty Pink Floyd is top of the UK physical charts this week new in at number one. This is not the download charts but the physical charts where people actually get a proper copy. The single is Hey Hey Rise Up which is a collaboration with Andriy Khlyvnyuk in support of Ukraine given the situation there. The physical release also features a reworked version of Pink Floyd’s A Great Day for Freedom which you can watch below. There has been all kinds of arguing and bickering on the internet about the credits on the reworked song with Jon Carin apparently not knowing the keyboard parts have been re-recorded. Quite the compliment from Jon thinking its his keyboarding, perhaps David is pretty good at keyboards too. At 5pm GMT UK Time, on 22nd July 2022, you will be able to listen to the 2018 remix of Pink Floyd’s Dogs track from the Animals album. The albums has been remixed and has been delayed in being released since 2018 due to differences between Mr Waters and Mr Gilmour over the liner notes written by journalist Mark Blake.
