Pink Floyd keyboard player Richard Wright would have celebrated his 80th birthday this coming 28th July 2023. To mark the occasion, one of his solo albums, Wet Dream, has been remixed by Steven Wilson and has been given new cover art. It will be released as CD and also on streaming platforms initially. It will be released on deep blue transparent marbled vinyl, Blu-ray and Dolby Atmos on 29th September 2023. There will be pictures and videos never before seen from Rick’s life included. Also, the new mix additionally includes 2 extra passages of music that were edited out of the original mix. Producer Steven Wilson said, “For anyone hearing the album for the first time it will become apparent just how much of Richard’s DNA runs through Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd’s new studio album The Endless River is released in multiple formats on 10th November 2014. Which one is for you? A new microsite has now been launched for the album with lots of photos, audio and information about the release. More on this below. So, what can fans expect from the new Pink Floyd album? Well it is mainly an ambient instrumental album and features one song with words by David Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson called Louder Than Words. There is one song from the Division Bell demos that has been circulating in very low quality audio for some years which can be listened to here. Pink Floyd New Album Cover Art Revealed

Pink floyd has revealed the cover art for their new album The Endless River. Their first album to be released in twenty years will now have a 10th November 2014 release date which has been pushed back from October 2014. The album’s starting point was the unused recordings from The Division Bell album recorded in 1993. There are keyboards recorded by the late Richard Wright from the original sessions augmented by re ordings from more recent times. Roger Waters,  bassist and main songwriter for Pink floyd past, does not feature on the new album. The album may be a bit of a departure from the usual Pink Floyd sound and may feature soundscapes more than prog rock songs. However, I am sure it will be very distinctly Pink Floyd and be enjoyed by many fans. Get the 10th November in your diary, it is an exciting day for Pink Floyd...
