I should imagine this will upset one or two people who have paid all that money for the boxset already and could have had a vinyl too. I should imagine the people shelling out nearly £90 for these are life-long fans who are probably also audio enthusiasts and would very much be interested in the Vinly included with the Immersion boxset. The collection was donated by long-time Amnesty International supporter and world renowned photographer David Redfern. Amnesty have kindly sent us some of the photos below that are in the auction. Pink Floyd Photographic Exhibition at Brighton Dome

Links – Brighton Dome Brighton Dome in England are to hold an exhibition of Pink Floyd photographs under the title Dark Side Of The Moon – A Photographic Exhibition. The event, which takes place between 20th January and 20th March 2012 in the Founders Room, is a celebration of the 40th anniversary of Pink Floyds first performance of Dark Side of the Moon which took place on 20th January 1972 at the Brighton Dome. Photographer Jill Furmanovsky spent considerable time on the road with the band including the debut gig of Dark Side of the Moon gig in Brighton. These rare and often intimate images by Jill Furmanovsky, Storm Thorgerson, Colin Prime & Tony Collins are courtesy of Rock Archive. Opens 20th January 10-5pm Tues – Sun, Admission is Free. Links – Dreweatts Clifton Auction Rooms | David Redfern Website | An important collection of music photographs are to be sold at Dreweatt’s Clifton auction room on 24th January 2012 on behalf of Amnesty International. The collection was donated by long-time Amnesty International supporter and world renowned photographer David Redfern. NPF should have some scans of the pictures up for auction by 16th January so look out for those. Most of the photographs are from his archive of pictures taken since the early ‘60s, many of which are signed by him, but the collection also includes several iconic images, amongst which is the famous shot of Mick Jagger wearing that ‘white dress’ costume at the now legendary 1969 Hyde Park concert, the first Pink Floyd line-up (with Syd Barrett), rare photos of David Bowie and an unusual picture of Count Basie lighting Princess Margaret’s cigarette. Pink Floyd and David Gilmour recording engineer Andy Jackson is in a band called The Eden House. They have a new album out next month called the “Timeflows EP” and will be released on February 27th 2012 through Jungle Records. The digital download version will be made available a week earlier on the 20th. Go check out their band website, have a listen to some tunes there, watch some video and enjoy. ;-) If Andy has been involved, I bet it sounds great! ;-) There is a video interview with Andy on the Astoria Houseboat Recording Studio belonging to David Gilmour on RecordProduction.com which you may wish to check out. Links – View full list of Roger Waters Tour Dates Roger Waters Tour 2012 is set to kick off in less than three weeks on 27nd January at Burswood Dome in Perth, Australia. If press reports last year are correct, he should be a married man by then as he weds Laurie Durning probably in USA before that date. The 70 dates currently announced could well be expanded upon in 2012.  Roger hinted in a recent interview that he would be playing in August 2012. The tour has dates announced up until July 2012 so watch this space! Roger also said there is a possibility of him visiting Europe again with his Wall Live tour in 2013!
