Andy Jackson’s New Solo Album out March 2024
Andy Jackson, renowned for his pivotal role in shaping the sound of Pink Floyd, returns with a fantastic new album. Following his previously celebrated works ‘Signal to Noise’ (2014), ‘3 Days at Sea’ (2016), and ‘Twelve Half Steps’ (2023), Jackson continues to innovate and captivate. His latest creation, ‘AI AJ’, delves into the compelling theme of artificial intelligence and its profound influence on our existence. True to Jackson’s reputation, this album emerges as another compelling, sonically superior production.
Andy told NPF, “The theme is one of an AI, self aware and its relationship with the human/listener. What I’ve been slightly oblique about is that the vocal itself is synthetic, an AI. I think that potentially no one would know if I didn’t tell them, it’s incredibly good. I do however make it start to ‘break’ as the story goes on and it starts to malfunction, think HAL in 2001.”
I just had the pleasure of listening to the album and must say it sounds fantastic and I love the concept of it. It is released by Cherry Red records on 29th March 2024 and explores the impact of artificial intelligence technology on our lives. It is the fourth solo album from Andy. Listen on Amazon Music.
