Roger Waters on CBS American TV Ahead of Tour Launch

Roger Waters will be on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on American TV tonight at 11:35pm EST/10:35pm CST. Says on the graphic below, shared on Roger’s official Facebook page, that there will be a performance so I wonder if it could be something new? I wonder if he will mention anything about his memoirs that he has been working on? I don’t think we have this channel in the UK but, with the right VPN connection, you might be able to stream it live from the CBS website. Artist Duggie Fields in a rare filmed interview in the flat he shared with his friend Syd Barrett

I often wonder what our favourite musicians are like when they are just hanging out at home when not on the stage doing their thing! I guess many of the “legendary stories” are invented by the media and fans alike to elevate these people and make them into stars! According to Duggie Fields, in this unseen extended interview below, Syd was a bit more normal than some of his other friends and wasn’t so much a victim of his drug usage (he didn’t do that much apparently) as he was a victim of having his creative flow disrupted by the sudden onset of fame, and people trying to limit his creative output. Duggie passed away in March 2021 and the interview below was done by producer John Edginton back in 2001 in the house where Syd lived with Duggie. Nick Mason New Tour Dates Announced for Saucerful of Secrets Tour

A couple of new dates have just been announced for Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets Tour which is headed back out on the road following delays due to Covid. The two new dates, announced on Nick’s Official Facebook page, are in Thessaloniki and Athens on 3rd and 4th June 2022 in Greece. Tickets are on sale now here and here. Sadly, the North American tour dates are still postponed until later in the year due to uncertainty over Covid. The new dates are being rescheduled and will be announced in due course. As highlighted on Roger Waters’ official YouTube page, a selection of songs from the live broadcast of Radio Waves, recorded at Colisée De Québec, Canada, on 7th November 1987, has made its way officially onto Spotify. it is calle Roger Waters: KAOS FM 1987: Live Radio Broadcast. There are 8 songs in total giving 49 minutes of the live performance which has been a favourite amongst bootleggers over the years. Pink Floyd recently released a load of old bootlegs on Spotify, presumably due to copyright reasons. It seems the fashionable thing to do these days as loads of other artists are getting in on the act too. Piper At The Gates of Dawn Remastered Mono LP Out March 2022

Pink Floyd’s debut album Piper at the Gates of Dawn is to be released as a remastered 180g mono vinyl record on 4th March 2022. The remastered album was originally released for record store day back in 2018 (catalogue PFRLP26) in a limited supply of just 6,000, so in rather short supply. Now you can get hold of it as a regular release in glorious mono on LP (catalogue PFRLP38). The album was remastered back in 2017 from the original mono analogue tapes by James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman and presented in mono form as originally intended. It was recorded at the now legendary Abbey Road Studios and is considered one of the quintessential psychedelic records of its era. It was originally released in August 1967.
