Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets Tour – New Tickets and Dates Announced

More 2022 tour dates are now on sale! A number of new concerts have been added, and the previously scheduled dates have now been rescheduled into 2022, except for a small number. I even managed to get a couple of tickets for Manchester in April. Nick’s Announcement Set the controls for your diaries… we’ve just added more dates to our 2022 tour, all of which are going on sale right NOW! Irish fans have Dublin and Belfast shows now, and there’s an additional ten concerts in mainland Europe! Some of these are new dates and locations, and some are more of the rescheduled gigs (for example, most of the German shows). We’re still working on squeezing a few more of the rescheduled gigs onto the new schedule where we can (depending on availability of the venues on suitable dates) so keep checking back. Sadly, we weren’t able to find a...

Gary Kemp and Guy Pratt : Rockonteurs Podcast

Noel Gallagher meets Guy Pratt and Gary Kemp on Rockonteurs Podcast

Rockonteurs is a podcast that launched in September 2020 and is produced by Pink Floyd bassist Guy Pratt and Spandau Ballet’s Gary Kemp. Both these chaps are in Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets band of course but have a little time on their hands with the Covid and all that. Anyway… this Sunday’s podcast has Oasis’ Noel Gallagher as a guest and you can listen to this, and all the other amazing episodes they have released, on your preferred podcast platform. I use Spotify myself. Listen to Podcasts, follow Rockonteurs on Twitter and watch some explainer videos Guy did explaining how to play some of the many songs he has been involved with over the years! Rockonteurs had a good chat with Nick Mason in S1E1 so make sure you check that one out if you haven’t had a listen yet. Preview Noel Gallagher Rockonteurs About Rockonteurs Rockonteurs is a...

Polly Samson and David Gilmour

David Gilmour and Polly Samson Rolling Stone Interview (New album, Tour, Roger Argument)

David Gilmour, and his long time collaborator and lyricist Polly Samson, have done an interview with Rolling Stone magazine which you can read online. The interview focuses on Polly’s work on her novel A Theatre for Dreamers, but also covers lots of other ground including the dispute surrounding Animals 2018 remix which “David’s former lyricist” Roger Waters had things to say about. David Gilmour vs Roger Waters Lets get this element of the story out the way first, then we can focus on happier thoughts. Given all the suffering going on in the world, its a bit daft to be bickering like this. Put “credit” and “ego” to one side and focus on the future! It says in the Rolling Stone interview that it was done in “late May” and then published on 7th June. As we know, Roger went berserk on 1st June regarding the liner notes issue for...

The Art of Pink Floyd The Wall Book Gerald Scarfe

The Art of Pink Floyd The Wall – New Gerald Scarfe Book Out Nov 2021

When you think of The Wall album, you might think of all the wonderfully illustrated characters which have become iconic to Pink Floyd fans. Recently at Sotherby’s auction house, the original paintings and illustrations by artist and illustrator Gerald Scarfe sold for tens of thousands of pounds so must be very iconic indeed to someone! The great news is Gerald has a new book out on 25th November 2021 which features 288 pages dedicated to the artwork he created for The Wall. It is a bit pricey at £120 currently on Amazon with an RPP of £150. But for fans with a good deep pocket I am sure it will be well worth it. It is published by Little, Brown. Grab yourself a copy on Amazon.co.uk where you can pre-order the book. Come and discuss the book on the forum too. From the Publisher The Art of Pink Floyd The...

Pink Floyd Syd Barrett Story

Watch Rare Video Interviews with Pink Floyd – Part of The Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett Story

The director John Edginton has been in touch to kindly share the interview videos he did, largely unedited, with members of Pink Floyd. John used the interviews in the documentary he directed called The Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett Story which was done back in 2001 for the BBC, but later released on DVD in 2003. I think it was also on VH1 earlier than 2003. The videos presented here are longer than those featured as bonus material on the DVD. Syd Barrett himself watched the documentary. According to his sister Rosemary, Syd watched the documentary when it was broadcast on the BBC. He apparently found it “a bit noisy”, although he did enjoy seeing Mike Leonard, who he referred to as his “teacher”. He also enjoyed hearing “See Emily Play” again. [Guardian] Anyway, here are the videos. Watch them and come discuss them on the forum with us. Also,...

Pink Floyd Animals 5.1 Remix 2018

Animals 5.1 & Stereo Remixes to be Released Soon, Plus Roger’s Broadside on David Gilmour

The much delayed 5.1 remix of Pink Floyd’s Animals album is due to be released soon much to our relief. The project has been sat on a shelf according to Roger Waters in his latest video update on the project. Apparently the liner notes written by Mark Blake, and edited by Roger, did not get the approval from David Gilmour that Roger was looking for. Hence the project, due in 2018, is now ready for release without the liner notes included as a compromise. For those interested to see what the liner notes said, Roger has shared them, along with some information about the memoirs he is working on. Roger attacked David and Polly last year about the “Von Trapped” business and him not being allowed to access the 30 million followers on Facebook that the official Pink Floyd account has. Roger has done a little more attacking in his...
