David Gilmour 2024 New Album Recording A Wrap?

Lyricist Polly Samson, who is working on her husband David Gilmour’s new studio album, just posted some additional photos from in the studio.

There seems to have been a flurry of activity recently. More frequently than at any other point in the year. This is speculation of course, but perhaps this flurry of activity is the musicians getting the project over the line and complete in terms of recording. Perhaps it will now go off for mastering ready for release next year. Fingers crossed.

Here is an excellent set of photos, including a group shot, of what could be a wrap on the recording process. Fingers crossed new will see a new David Gilmour album in 2024.

There are some people missing from the group photo of course. Romany Gilmour has been recording vocals for the album.

Hopefully there will be a tour announced soon for the new David Gilmour album. During the time Pink Floyd were seeing the exiting of Roger Waters, David Gilmour go on the road for his first solo tour in 1984 to support his About Face album. He also toured On An Island in 2006 and Rattle That Lock from 2015.
