The much anticipated Pink Floyd The Later Years box set will be delayed a couple of weeks due to “production and logistics delays”. The mammoth 18 disc box set was supposed to be released on 26th November but will not be available until 13th December 2019. However, the highlights 2LP/1CD package & digital equivalent is out on 29 November 2019. The original album had a very 1980s feel to it due to the production techniques and mixing. The new sound is much punchier and sounds amazing. Have a listen to that if you have not heard it yet. Nick Mason Drive from London to Brighton – Veteran Car Run 2019

Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason is getting one of his old cars out to take part in this year’s Veteran Car Run, this year sponsored by auction house Bonhams, and travelling from London to Brighton on Sun 3rd November 2019. Nick will be driving his exceptionally old 1901 Panhard et Lavassor, registration DS6670 and would very much like for you to support him on his journey if you are in the South of England this coming Sunday. You can find out more about the event, the route taken and the other participants and their amazing cars on the official website. Nick is a collector of cars and can’t seem to get enough of them. Unreleased Pink Floyd High Hopes from 1994

As part of the promotion of the forthcoming Pink Floyd Later Years massive box set, the official YouTube channel of Pink Floyd has shared an early recording of the song High Hopes from The Division Bell album. Also, just catching up with the news a bit here, but David Gilmour joined Richard Thompson at the Royal Albert Hall as a birthday treat, as a special guest at the 70th Birthday Celebration of singer/songwriter/guitarist and Fairport Convention co-founder Richard Thompson. Appearing towards the close of a concert full of stellar guests, David performed Richard’s The Dimming Of The Day, including an incendiary solo. The song had of course previously featured on the David Gilmour In Concert DVD from the Royal Festival Hall. Richard supplied sympathetic electric guitar behind David’s lead vocal on Fat Old Sun, culminating in an exchange of guitar solos between the two that was a masterclass in dynamics and taste. Roger Waters Arena Tour 2020 & Latest on Pink Floyd Reunion Topic (Not Good)

Roger Waters, the “creative force of Pink Floyd”, is to tour in 2020 doing indoor arena dates during “election year” in the United States. It is set to be even more political than usual. The usual question of “Pink Floyd reunion” was also mentioned in a recent Rolling Stone interview to publicise the Us and Them film. It is not looking good. Roger was talking about his upcoming film, which he co-directed with Sean Evans called Us & Them. The film has concert footage from his stop in Amsterdam on the Us & Them tour and is set to thrill cinema goers this week. The film is showing today 2nd Oct 2019 and Sunday 6th October.
