Pink Floyd Bassist Guy Pratt, who is also a comedian and Rockonteurs podcaster, has joined a stage of stars for a cancer charity. On Saturday 21st October an event took place at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire called Concert Platform. Guy Pratt has worked with many stars over the years because he is a rather good bassist. But he has now ticked another box on his list having now performed with Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant. Guy wrote an account of his latest achievement on his Facebook page. “Well that was fun. Roger Waters Tour is coming to an end soon in December. After an amazing run of concerts which started in July 2022, This Is Not A Drill Tour is set to conclude on 9th December 2023. The final venue is Estadio Olimpico in Ecuador. The tour was billed Roger’s “first farewell tour” jokingly referring to the trend of older artists saying its their last, then doing more! The original tour schedule, for Roger Waters’ seventh solo tour, was supposed to start around the time of Covid. This was postponed. The world went into turmoil. Andy Fairweather Low is a Welsh guitarist and singer born on August 2, 1948 in Ystrad Mynach, Wales. He was a founding member and lead singer of the 1960s pop band Amen Corner, which had four successive top-ten hits on the UK Singles Chart, including the number-one single “(If Paradise Is) Half as Nice” in 1969. After Amen Corner split in two in 1970, Fairweather Low led Dennis Bryon (drums), Blue Weaver (organ), Clive Taylor (bass) and Neil Jones (guitar) into a new band, Fair Weather. The band’s “Natural Sinner” peaked at No. 6 in the UK in July 1970. Fairweather Low has released four albums up to 1980 on A&M and Warner Bros. These spawned further single chart success with “Reggae Tune” (1974), and “Wide Eyed and Legless”, a No. 6 Christmas-time hit in 1975.
